Are you struggling to keep track of who has created records in your system? Do you need to report on all activity entered by a specific user or on a certain date? Do you want to be extra vigilant with accessing records?

The Audit Module can help.

The Audit Module keeps a log of every action carried out in your Lamplight system: operator logins, viewing records; editing records; deleting things; updates – are all stored in a read-only register.

These logs can be viewed and searched by system administrators to see a full history of activity in your system. The module stores up to 5GB of log data, after which it’s archived.

You can view logs based on the person that made the change; the type of record or change that happened; or the record that was affected. Full details of when, where, and who carried out every action are available.

The Audit Module may be beneficial to add to your system if you:

  • Have information security requirements to log all activity
  • Need extra reassurance around data confidentiality
  • Need the ability to retrace activity to catch errors or accidentally deleted records
  • Require a full log of operator activity to help comply with quality standards

Already a Lamplight user?

To enable the module, go to system admin (you must be a system administrator) > change modules and tick the Audit Module box to turn it on in your system. It will immediately start recording the actions that you carry out.

For more on setting up the module, watch our introduction to the Audit Module video and read our blog.
